Medical School Interview
Your medical school personal statement has enabled you to stand out from the crowd, but can you leap the next hurdle - the medical school interview?
Most medical schools require an interview and this is a crucial step in achieving your goal of a place there. Typically, only one out of every four or five interviewees are offered a place - so it is vital that you are fully prepared. It is quite likely that this is your first ‘serious’ interview – so it makes sense for you to be as well-prepared as you possibly can be.
It’s an old adage that you never get a second chance to make a first impression, but it really is true: the way you conduct yourself - from the moment you enter the interview room, to the way you answer (and ask) questions, and on to the way you leave - can make all the difference between having a place granted or not.
Our staff have over 30 years experience working directly in the field of medicine and conducting medical school interviews, so the issues they address have not only general applicability but, crucially, a clear appreciation of the needs and requirements – and idiosyncrasies – of the world of medicine. Their knowledge is both relevant and up-to-date.
